  1. Great photo of wagon wheel. Doesn’t seem to be one of those wagons in front of an antique store in Connecticut, but rather a wagon wheel in back of a barn, considering the other clutter around the wheel. It is those kinds of shots, Evangeline, that an artist can find in New Mexico, off the beaten path if they will but look. You are finding those moments and artifacts before McDonaldworld obliterates all of the local recipes that make life worthwhile in New Mexico and the Southwest. You capture history but also art with your camera.

    • Yes I go off the beaten path, which at times has gotten me in trouble.I try to look for a shot that tells a story, or something that will bring back a memory.As you say history can be captured with a camera whether in the moment or in the past. Its up to the artist to bring it to life.

      • Well, your pictures do invoke memories and stories. And, as an artist that you are, I am glad you are taking these photographs. Years from now, many of these places will be gone.
