Mayan Ruins, Mexico

Mayan Vendor

Mayan Ruins, Mexico

Chichen Itza, is the largest of the ruined Mayan cities on the Yucatán Peninsula, and  while visiting the temples I found this Mayan woman selling her  hand embroidered work. She stood apart from the rest of the vendors, with her graceful aged face showing little emotion.  I could almost feel when she extended her arms the need to make a sale.  If you take the time, you can read everything in a person’s eyes, face and hands.
