ASH COVERED SKY
EVANGELINE CHAVEZ 2011
The fires in Arizona has effected the sky and air quality in New Mexico. The ash covered sky leaves very low if not no visibility of the mountains and surrounding area. I wore a face mask to go outside to take this photo, but I was not out more than 10 minutes. You could only see the smoke covered sky with this blood-red sun trying to peek through. This is a great opportunity to take these rare photos, but you risk the air you breath.

Thank you..really informative!!
You captured that well. I have seen the sky like that many times but have never gotten a photo that I liked. I feel so bad about those Arizona fires: I loved that country that is burning.
